If so, we may have the role for you.
We are looking for someone who matches our team’s culture and values. This is incredibly important to us, and why we have such a special vibe. We’re not looking for just anyone, we’re looking for the one perfect person who fits our specific style. Here’s what matters most to us as a team:
We’re supportive of each other.
If these things matter to you too, read on! There are a few other things we’d like you to know:
We want you to be willing to learn and grow.
We want you to help others learn and grow.
We want to laugh with you at the crazy stuff we deal with.
We want to be able to have a beer with you. Or juice if that’s more your style.
We want you to understand that the people of this practice care very deeply about helping you get where you want to go and becoming the best you can be.
We want you to be happy.
You have a great way of making both colleagues and clients feel confident in your abilities because you are positive, kind, and committed. You’re the type of person who can build relationships easily, someone who makes people feel comfortable, respected, and listened to. You have emotional maturity and stability; you understand there will inevitably be difficult situations involving sick and hurt pets and stressed clients.
You have great attention to detail. You can manage your time well and know how to set priorities, and you get the work done each day. You can stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus even when distractions are present. You work extremely well in a team and can direct and lead staff and situations to their successful outcomes.
You’re proficient on the computer and comfortable on the telephone. You know when to rely on your team and how to ask for help if you don’t know the answer. You have an excellent handle of the English language and understand how to break down medical terms when needed in discussions with clients for truly informed decision-making.
About the Practice:
Wellesley Animal Hospital has recently relocated into our new larger facility, a meticulously renovated historical heritage building located in one of the densest areas of downtown. Our 3600-square-foot facility is a two-storey veterinary practice that features an extensive state-of-the-art in-house diagnostic laboratory, surgical and therapy lasers, in-house ECG, a brand new digital radiograph system, and digital dental radiographs, all fully integrated into our practice management software. We have 5 exam rooms, separate dental and surgical suites, and a dedicated private doctor’s office.
Additional amenities include cat and dog boarding stations, grooming services, and an exclusive veterinary boutique, only the second of its kind in the entire province. Our support staff team is incredible and includes 5 brilliant RVTs as well as many exceptional CSRs, ACAs, and veterinary assistants, all of whom have all been cross-trained in each other’s positions, allowing every person to support their team members in every way possible.
About the Role:
Our practice is very busy and still growing, with a large caseload of excellent, well-educated pet owners. We are looking for a 6th full-time DVM; new grads are welcome to apply!
