Hi, I’m Heather! I grew up just outside London England, until moving to Canada in 2018 I’d never lived more than 15 minutes from my Mum.
I grew up with more furry friends than human friends, my grandparents had a farm and I’ve had horses, cows, goats, chickens, cats, and dogs as friends while growing up. When I was a child I always wanted to be a big mammal vet, somewhere along the line that changed and I’ve worked in catering, as a debt collector, and in recruitment.
When I received my permanent residency in March of 2020 I decided to try my luck and finally get to work with animals, luckily the WAH family saw my (not so inner) inner nerd as a good thing and gave me a chance. I can honestly say these strange humans have all become family to me.
Pets: One grumpy German Spitz named Samba who came with me from England.
Fun Fact: I went to finishing school when I was a child and know the correct way to stir tea and hold a teacup (but I won’t hold it against you if you don’t).
Heroes: my Mum, my Nan and my Husband.
